Due to recent membership drive activities we had 12 new businesses join the Chamber, and 5 previous business members re-join in 2008.  Thanks to all the committee members and businesses that supported this effort. 
DeTour Village is at the eastern tip of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

From The Mackinac Bridge And All Points South
Cross the Bridge and travel approximately eighteen miles north on I-75, take exit 359 onto M-134 East towards DeTour Village. (Watch out for the deer!) DeTour is about forty-two miles from I-75.
 
From Sault Ste. Marie And Canada
Take M-129 South and turn left (east) two miles south of Pickford on M-48.  Proceed approximately twenty miles and take a left on North Caribou Lake Road.
       (also try South Caribou Lake Rd, or M-134 for alternate scenery)
Travel about ten miles and you will arrive in the heart of DeTour Village, but don't miss Caribou Lake along the way.
 
From Wisconsin:
Take US-2 East to St. Ignace and then go North on I-75.  Take exit 359 onto M-134 East towards DeTour Village.  DeTour is about forty-two miles from I-75.
 
By Air:
You can fly into one of our nearby airports, use either Chippewa County Airport (air port code CIU, about 50 miles distance), or Pelston (code PLN, about 65 miles distance), both have shuttles or rental cars available. Both airports serviced by several daily flights on Northwest Airlines.  There is also a private airport on Drummond Island for small planes. 
 
By Water:
North end of Lake Huron, southern St. Mary's river, approximately 35 Miles east of the Bridge.  DeTour Marina is 45° 59' 43" N  by 83° 53' 50" W, Harbor monitors Channel 16.
 
DeTour is 350 miles from Detroit, 300 miles from Grand Rapids, 490 miles from Chicago.
